Balloon Takes Out Powerline Transformer

Occurred on September 11, 2024 / Gulfport, Mississippi, USA

Info from Licensor: "My daughter begged me to let her let go of the balloons since her grandmother had passed away and her grandmother's birthday is this month. It was raining so it was suppose to get wet and sink back down like it did the day before. Hurricane Francine was also bout to hit so the wind picked it up right into the light pole. It did blow the transmitter but it went to the pump house across the street. The generators kicked on and they fixed the pole after the hurricane."
