45. Part One, Friends with Cancer, Melinda and The Adventures of Slotty McLoserface 9/14/2024

Yea, just when you get a break, life slams you right in the face with a reality baseball bat. I got one of my best friends who just found out he has likely got a case of cancer in his face. He's healthy and the prognosis so far is good, but it just sucks. Working people like us never have enough money as it is, and his treatment will be a heartbreakingly expensive challenge for him and his family. But we will help as we can, and we will pray for our friend and his family. The rest is just me being a slot addict maroon. Thankfully, those voices in my head kept me from getting a massive speeding ticket to go with a losing night at the slots. And I was smart enough to pull off Saturday morning and get a couple of hours of priceless rest before heading home in a slightly brisk fashion. lol. Have a great Sunday everyone.
