The last few videos in Japantown, Vietnam have sparked debate on who is right or wrong. Should China Mac respected the Vietnamese locals and turn off the camera? Should the spa women be more polite and discreet? Many people have defended both sides.

As a born Vietnamese, a foreigner, and a content creator, I want to provide a balanced and fair analysis. This is not about China Mac, the Vietnamese women in white dresses, or Darren Walking By. This is about Vietnam’s tourism, the image of Vietnamese people, particularly the women, and for all future tourists, foreigners and expats to Saigon specifically and Vietnam as a whole.
