Speaker discusses the challenges of reintegrating into family life after being away, noting his wife's self-sufficiency and adjusting to his family's routine.
part of that is, again, my wife is very self-sustaining. Not that she doesn't need me, but she knows how to amp it up. make the house function and do like it should without me. I mean, and so I had to figure out how to insert myself back into my family's life because my kids do all their chores. My, my wife just had everything rolling. And so it was like, okay, where do I fit back into this whole deal? So I did, I got it figured out. And it's taken me a little bit of time to do it because it's like, okay, I need to be helping out and doing things around the house, but then also need to be doing things for work.

Speaker reflects on balancing work with personal life, highlighting the positive experience of disconnecting from phone notifications.
Obviously, my work is podcasting and talking to people and some public speaking stuff and things like that. So I was kind of getting away from it. I'm like, oh, man, how do I get myself back in? Because I took a break. I didn't have my phone on me, which was incredible. To not have your phone on you and to be away, it's kind of nice. So yeah i mean and not having around not having the notifications i know like the beginning of the year well actually yeah january first i made it i made a um a uh what do you call it uh a i can't even think of the term right now i made a goal to not be um
