The Birth of Isaac

But as Isaac grows, tensions resurface between Sarah and Hagar’s son, Ishmael ⚠️. When Sarah sees Ishmael mocking Isaac, she demands that Abraham send Hagar and Ishmael away 💔.

With a heavy heart, Abraham sends them into the desert of Beersheba 🏜️, giving them only bread and water. As their supplies run out, Hagar, fearing for her son’s life, weeps bitterly 😢.

At her lowest moment, God speaks to Hagar 👼, saying:

💬 “Fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.”

Then, God miraculously provides a well of water 💧, saving Ishmael’s life and reaffirming His promise that Ishmael will also become a great nation 🏹🌍.

God’s Faithfulness & Abraham’s Treaty
The chapter concludes with Abimelech and Abraham making a peace treaty at Beersheba 🤝, where Abraham plants a tamarisk tree 🌳 as a symbol of worship and trust in God’s faithfulness.
