This week presented us with a lot of noisy headlines from the Middle East to China to United States politics to riots in Europe. We learned that Kamala Harris chose Tim Walz as her running mate and within a day his record of leadership and service in the military were found to be inflated with stolen valor. We also learned this week that the United States government courts found Google in violation of monopoly law...but isn't this the same government that contracts with Google for services? and isn't this the same Google that worked with China to develop Project Dragonfly? Somehow I don't think that a conviction will sting too long as the appeals process surely will drag on while the company restructures to protect itself. We also got more noise about UNWRA, the United Nations agency that supposedly had agents involved in the October 7th attacks...it really begs the question, why do we fund both sides of the conflict as we do?
While the UK riots demonstrate that regular citizens have had enough of being supplanted by illegal immigrants, Canada considers blocking legal immigrants who are replacing Canadian workers in hospitality industries...yes, under Trudeau. We also learned that Biden handed over the last drone bases worth millions and millions of dollars to the junta in Niger who've invited the Russians to take over...
