WIRELESS MICROPHONES disappoint severely! They produce nothing but silence on the soundtrack

So I got some wireless microphones because the wireless microphones that I have cause a hissing sound and quite some distortion when I use them with the camera I have with a microphone jack. Unfortunately it seems I'm in for a very big disappointment :(
