When Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko used the full force of his security apparatus to smash mass demonstrations in 2020, Maria Kalesnikava became a symbol of the protesters' defiance - even more so when she tore up her passport to resist deportation. Now she's starving in a cell in dire conditions, according to her sister. Lucy Fielder has more.
