For Acorn 180 stairlift users who require reprogramming during this solar sunspot supercycle

So, Rob: Why repair stairlifts?
That's a good question.
1. I was unable to walk, three times.
2. Built robots from Japan had paralled ceramic capacitors on electric motors, preventing AC ripple from back-EMF. These lasted more than 10 years with no maintenance. Acorn stairlifts are nowhere this reliable.
3. Gifted kids in my classes fixed 80% of broken electronics without parts replacement.
4. Leading class actions showed me how old people were, sadly, easily victimized, and needed outside protectors.
5. Managing a software house that built the fastest Novell network on a 286 server proved, to me, that anything was possible.
6. James at Acorn Inc. sent many clients with unfixable-stairlifts to me, starting in 2008.
7. Chris Ware, an Acorn employee, and others, publicly stated that Acorn stairlifts were, "made to break".
8. Acorn stairlifts vibrate and wobble unless perfectly mounted, causing suffering to the disabled.
9. Dad taught his boys to repair and build anything, including model airplanes.
