Nearly $70K in Pokémon Cards Stolen by Armed Robbers

A pair of thieves in Japan used bladed weapons to steal $68,000 in Pokémon cards from an office after tying up several employees and forcing them to give up the valuable cards.

Such incidents are becoming more common with thieves learning that various trading card games, TCG, have very valuable cards such as the above-mentioned Pokémon as well as Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh. Recently a warehouse was robbed on two separate occasions that resulted in the theft of over a million dollars in cards.
