The possibility of WW3 if Ukraine gets Western weapons and intelligence is a serious concern. Russia's reaction could escalate if NATO bases are targeted.

The Russian president says that if Ukraine will be empowered to strike deep into Russia with western weapons, it means direct participation of NATO and Russia will react appropriately!

Because to deep strike with cruise missiles you need:
- Western satellite intelligence data
- NATO personell needs to program the flight route and target of missiles within Russia

Hence for Russia to destroy this threat they would need likely to strike NATO bases.
