Ruger SFAR Fix for Gas Key

Well, since this seems to be a super popular rifle (based off the traffic on my channel), and many of you are on the fence about the Ruger SFAR, I thought I'd upload this video.

Long story short, got a Ruger SFAR in trade (for a Smith 686-6 6" revolver). The Ruger SFAR had 170 rounds through a new barrel, new handguard, new BCG, and new gas block. It also came with a Magpul bi-pod, an upgraded charging handle.

First trip to the range, 100 flawless rounds downrange... Second trip to the range, after about 30-40 rounds, it started to act like a single shot rifle. At first, brass would not eject. After a few of those issues, then it would not cycle after firing. Took the rifle apart, looked at the bolt carrier group, and the gas key was loose... I tightened up the gas key screw, and ran 15 more flawless rounds through it.

Called Ruger, they told me I could ship the rifle back (minus optic, other attachments). I asked if I could fix it and if so, would they still warranty of it ended up not working - answer was "yes". They advised I use Loctite and torque the screw to 45-55lbs, let it cure, and to test it out.

I'll be taking this baby out to the range in the next two weeks or so, so another video will be coming....
