#472: Fortress America

The Chinese have made a move towards a concept of Fortress China which means that the priority of state decision-making should favor nationalism and prioritize programs that ensure the Chinese people are protected and have energy independence. They also worked hard to fortify its supply lines, much like during wartime.

Could America make the same move and shrink the empire before it crumbles outright? Doubtful, but there would be some massive benefits to finally closing down most of the thousand military bases around the world and closing the southern flank. Is Trump planning a Fortress America strategy if he gets in, or would he rather break up the country and sell it off in pieces for his backers? One thing is for certain, something needs to change.
