Trump Unveils Shocking Plan to Eliminate Taxes on Overtime – Workers Rejoice!

Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he plans to support hourly wage earners by eliminating income taxes on overtime pay.

Unveiling the proposal at a campaign event in Tucson, Arizona, Trump emphasized that the plan would encourage more people to work while boosting their take-home pay.

“As part of our additional tax cuts, we’re going to eliminate all taxes on overtime,” Trump declared, introducing the idea for the first time to a cheering crowd.

Economists have told him the plan could lead to "unbelievable" benefits for the U.S. workforce, Trump explained, saying, "You’ll see a whole new workforce emerge with no taxes on overtime."

He highlighted that those who work overtime are often among the country’s most dedicated workers, including police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction crews, truck drivers, and machine operators.

“For too long, no one in Washington has had their backs. It’s time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break,” Trump added.

This proposal, which follows his earlier plan to eliminate income tax reporting on tips for service industry workers, is aimed at allowing more working-class Americans to keep their hard-earned money.

Trump also took a jab at Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, accusing her of copying his policies, as he did during the recent debate. He joked that he might send her a MAGA hat since she’s been adopting his ideas.

“She has no policies of her own,” Trump remarked. “Everything she believed in a few years ago is gone, and now she’s leaning into my ideas.” He pointed out how her campaign has borrowed from his tax policies, child tax credit initiative, and even used images of his border wall while claiming to be tough on immigration.

With this latest economic proposal, Trump predicts it won’t be long before Harris tries to claim it as her own.
