Tripping on Travel: Entering Natchaug Trail IMAGES, Hampton, CT

Some of these images come from video footage from my visit that I didn't publish in a video.

Natchaug is a Nipmuc Native American word meaning "land between the rivers". That said, it wasn't until long after those natives were a thing of the past, that sometime between 1969 and 1973, the Connecticut Forest and Park Association created the 17.6 mile Natchaug Trail. As Wikipedia puts it, "It was not the name of a native American tribe or group, but of a particular area in Connecticut". In this video, I enter the beginning of the trail in Hampton, Connecticut where it's located in the James L Goodwin State Forest, adjacent to Pine Acres Pond. From south to north, the trail is reported to travel from Hampton to Chaplin, and on to Ashford and Eastford, CT.
