Do Texas Counties know how much a property sold for?

Texas counties typically know how much a property sold for through the deed or affidavit of value filed with the county clerk's office after a sale. Although Texas is a non-disclosure state, meaning the sale price is not automatically made public, county appraisal districts may still have access to sale information for property tax purposes.
