I Tried Wahoo Fishing in Maui! INSANE First Time Experience! Catch Clean Cook

I tried deep sea fishing for the first time in Maui and caught a Wahoo! 🐟 In Hawaii, it's also called Ono, which means "delicious" in Hawaiian. This fish was STRONG—what an intense arm workout! I was shaking from muscle fatigue and probably a bit of adrenaline too, haha. As you can tell from my technique, this was my first time, and I definitely made a few rookie mistakes, but hey, we all have to start somewhere, right?

This was a 6-hour fishing excursion, and I caught this beauty 5.5 hours into the trip! We didn’t catch anything else all day, so I felt really lucky and excited. Since it was my first time fishing, everyone on the boat let me reel him in (so nice, right?!). Once we got back on shore, we split up the cuts, and I even took my share to Honu Oceanside Restaurant, where they taught me how to cook it up! IT WAS AMAZING.
