It's another outing for Gary Thorn , previously featured in Bob's first novel , The Satsuma Complex. This time we find Gary pondering a very difficult decision - should he stay in his safe , legal job in Peckham , living in his council flat, sharing pies with his retired neighbour Grace and her dog Lassoo and watching football down the pub with his mate Andy or should he move to Brighton to be with his girlfriend Emily and help her run the hotel she inherited which will be called The Hotel Avocado ?
An added complication is the arrival of Mr Sequence , a menacing dodgy character that has Gary worried about his safety.
