Journalist: "We all have to make sacrifices if we're going to be all part of the climate solution. What is the biggest personal climate sacrifice you've had to make in terms of living a more sustainable life?"
Bill Gates: "I'm funding companies, like I buy, I fund electric heat pumps, so that people have a lower bill in low cost housing. And because I'm providing capital for that I offset that for my carbon emissions so I can get to zero. So that money is not only creating net zero, it's also driving those creating demand for the technologies that will come down in price. My carbon footprint is high and that's partly why I'm so avid that we need to get all sorts of emissions to zero."
Journalist: "What is also your climate sacrifice, but also what's your biggest climate advice?"
Bill Gates: "Well, flying from place to place is where I'd have my biggest footprint."
