First, we welcome Kat Deal, a 24-year-old singer-songwriter and musician in Mobile, Alabama. Inspired by legends like Dolly Parton and Joni Mitchell, Kat's passion for music started at a young age. Now, she's a full-time musician, performing at notable events like the RiverRounds Songwriting Festival and Live at Five, where she opened for Taylor Hicks. You can also catch her as a regular performer at Ladies' Night at the Brickyard every Monday. Kat shares her journey, talks about her band, The Kat Deal Band, and gives us a sneak peek into her upcoming original music.

At 10:00, we shift gears and talk with Jason Shepard of Jason Shepard ArtworX, an illustrator, podcast host, and musician based in Lexington, Kentucky. Known for his retro-pop-culture-inspired illustrations and love for horror films, Jason has made waves with his art at conventions and horror events. His work has even caught the attention of Troma Films, for whom he's created promotional posters. We dive into his creative process, his love for '80s music (reflected in his electronic-pop duo Los Dieties), and how he juggles his passions across multiple mediums.
