This article is a bold faced lie. All of the same dangerous isotopes present in a fully enriched uranium power rod are still present when it can no longer help power a nuclear reactor.

When removed, those rods can be converted to Depleted Uranium Sabot Rounds of ammunition as used by the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II or ( WARTHOG ) that I worked on during The Gulf War.

The best expert I ever heard of is the late - great Doug Rokke who is still highly esteemed in the Veterans Community for discovering the dire connection between spent uranium weaponry and an entirely stand alone type of Gulf War Illness via inhalation or physical contact with dust and residue ~ especially on damaged vehicles where the flaming molten DEPLETED URANIUM RODS MELTED HOLES STRAIGHT THRU ENEMY TANKS ARMOUR !!!!
