9-10-24 BOS MEETING LOST VIDEO!

As we reported a few weeks ago , unelected bureaucrats clerk of the board, Melissa Kitts and CAO Andy Pickett, took it upon themselves to replace the online board meetings platform from the previous Granicus system to the new Civics Clerk system. Since then, the written public comments and votes on agendas are no longer viewable by others until weeks after a meeting. Before they changed it, in the days leading up to a meeting, we could see all comments and votes as they came in on any particular item . Also, after a meeting, when meeting results were available online, you could go to the video and click on any of the agendas listed below it so it would take you to that point in the video. Both are no longer the case . But what’s really disturbing is what happened to this last 9-10-24 meeting’s video. In an email to Julie Threet, Melissa Kitt admits that she made a technical error that resulted in the loss of almost the entire meeting, so it is unavailable in the meeting results video archive in Civics Clerk. This Rumble video shows some of what is missing because Eyes On Butte County was screen recording while the meeting was live. However, that live transmission was constantly going offline due to their “technical difficulties”. So though we have some of the missing footage from that day’s meeting, it too is incomplete because of the inadequate performance of Civics Clerk or purposeful actions of Melissa Kitts.
