Donald Trump appeared in Wisconsin on Saturday for a rally that he intends to focus heavily on the economy, marking his first trip to the deep red, largely rural part of the key battleground state. The rally was briefly interrupted after an attendee collapsed. A crowd formed around emergency medical personnel as they treated the person. Afterward, Trump continued to hurl insults at political opponents Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as their Sept. 10 debate approaches. Trump said, “You know, if I destroy her in the debate, they’re going to say, ‘Trump suffered a humiliating defeat tonight,’ no matter what.” Both Harris and Trump have been frequent visitors to Wisconsin this year, a state where four of the last six presidential elections have been decided by less than a percentage point. Multiple polls of Wisconsin voters conducted after President Joe Biden’s withdrawal showed Harris and Trump in a tight race.
