THERE ARE MANY FAKE NEWS SURROUNDING THE SITUATION IN OUR CITY: "Our city, of course, is half-empty, people are afraid, they don’t know what will happen next. Sirens are wailing, air defenses are working, it’s noisy. The first two days were tough due to the uncertainty, but now the city is functioning—stores, hospitals are open, the authorities are here, no one has abandoned us. For those who want to leave, the mayor provides buses. But we’ve been here from the very beginning, we haven’t left, we love our city, we go to work, live our usual lives, and believe that our soldiers will protect us and won’t abandon us. That’s why we’re here. We have to get through this—there’s no other option..."

For over a month now, we’ve been working across our entire border region—in Kursk and Belgorod. We travel to get a sense of the situation on the ground, observe evacuations, and prepare material for our project "We Are Alive." I personally take responsibility for every word and every frame in our reports. And of course, we talk to and listen to the people—our people—ordinary Russians, whose lives were suddenly disrupted by war.

Watch, listen, subscribe, help, and get involved. No one else will help us but ourselves—we are all we’ve got.
