Spider-Man 4 Gets a HUGE Update and Marvel Has Learned NOTHING!

Spider-Man 4 is all but announced with Sony and Disney seemingly reaching an agreement on the continuation of Tom Holland's Peter Parker. It's been both companies most reliable cash cow so this was an inevitability with the current state of both companies Superhero output. You would think this would be a launching pad for new people and new ideas so that you wouldn't find yourself in a similar situation a few years later, but drafting the director to the most forgettable Phase 4 installment, Destin Daniel Cretton, to helm the most significant IP for two companies, shows that Marvel and Sony clearly haven't learned. Shang Chi was a nothing movie and handing over control to Marvel's biggest name should be reserved for only the best and brightest.

The sludge must flow.
