Pacific414 Pop Talk: Hollywood Icon, James Earl Jones Becomes One With The Force

Welcome one and all to Pacific414 Pop Talk for September 11, 2024 where tonight we will pay tribute to the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. James Earl Jones.

James Earl Jones was a legend of both the stage and screen, big big and small.

For James Earl Jones began his acting career on stage in New York City in 1958, starring in the Broadway production of Sunrise at Campobello.

He of course is remembered for his iconic roles in movies such as, The Great White Hope, Field of Dreams, The Lion King and of course as the voice of Darth Vader in 1977's Star Wars.

James Earl Jones will always be remembered for his iconic voice, but he'll also be remembered for the acting legacy he leaves behind.

That is not the only tribute we will pay tonight. We will also pay tribute to those who lost their lives twenty-three years ago on Tuesday, September 11, 2001when the twin World Trade Center towers in New York were destroyed and The Pentagon in Washington D.C. was attacked along with the crash of United Flight 93 in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania.

We will give our perspective of how those events 23-years ago changed the landscape of pop culture and entertainment forever.
