Windmill Express - Bosch On The Bank

Windmill Express is back once again, with a song I wrote years ago to remember the great painter, Hieronymus Bosch. Bosch painted many mysterious paintings, such as The Garden of Earthly Delights. He painted his Visions of Heaven and Hell. He painted with many obscure Alchemical Symbols, many of which are only recently being discovered. This is a song about Bosch and His Symbols.

bosch on the bank

there's a painter, always in the church,
made a vision, of a world i would lurch,
what a sound, to come from,
when you're on the bank, like a number one,

jerome he had himself, a sainted place,
when he was brushing, he had a happy face,

he had some details, of the garden of delight,
when i hear bosch, on the bank all that night,

who do i have to thank, for showing me,
bosch on the bank?
who do i have to tell,
he said if you're good, it's heaven or it's hell

in the summer, of my dreams,
i saw him coming, he was serene,
an ear, with a pair of blades,
singers dancing in an egg,
oh i wonder, will i be like you someday?

who do i have to thank, for showing me,
bosch on the bank?

he had a coat, he had a hat,
he had a brush, it was finely matte,
i would love, to have him here,
would he have, to bend my ear?
he's been gone, for many a year,
but his dreams, have come so clear,

who do i have to thank, for bringing me,
bosch on the bank?
who do i have to tell, for helping me to see,
his visions of heaven and hell
