What was the purpose of the Eiffel Tower?

It was all in the era of Tartaria, so many "World Fairs" all built and then destroyed. The planned and orchestrated WW1 saw to much of the destruction of Tartarian influence and advanced technology, but this is a great video; makes me wonder if Blackpool Tower has anything to do with powering "Blackpool Lights"?
