Indiana Jones Game is for a Modern Audience

The creative director for the upcoming Indiana Jones game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, said in a recent interview that they are trying to discourage action because Indiana Jones is not competent in those situations.

This comes across as, at best, the game developers not understanding the character or what he is capable of. This could also be seen as the game developers having an idea as to how the game should play out and are trying to pigeonhole the player into doing things their way. Either way it’s not a good look to establish multiple options for gameplay while trying to prevent the player from engaging with them.
