CAR SLAMS UNDER 18 WHEELER TRAILER, GOODRICH TEXAS, 09/10/24...

Nothing Like a BRUSH WITH DEATH, to Wake You In the Morning, GOODRICH, September 10, 2024 - At approximately 6:08 am on September 10, 2024, the driver of a red Chevy SUV was south-bound on US-59. As he was about to pass the north end of Loop 393, an 18 wheeler pulled off of 393 directly in front of him. His vehicle slammed into the side of the 18 wheeler trailer. Amazingly, the driver of the Chevy wasn't injured. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to assist Trooper Nick Hatton with The Texas Highway Patrol who was dispatched to investigate. The trailer of the semi completely blocked the south-bound side of 59. It appears that the driver of the 18 wheeler is at fault, but the accident is under investigation.
