Jesus who is the direct reflection of His Father was with The Father from the beginning. Jesus did this for the world at His Father's request. No greater Love is there than this then one lay down His life a ransom for others. And, even foreknowing that He would be rejected by His own people He still came. And then, while He was on the cross, He called out to His Father to "forgive them for they know not what they are doing".

I. Love's pure light. God in the flesh was lifted up on a cross and from there He radiated His Light to the world so mankind could be redeemed and restored through His sacrifice so we could be saved.
