The Kindled Flame (1940) is a Christian religious film.

SYNOPSIS
Vivid drama of Christians under Roman oppression in A.D. 304. The Roman empire was making a final effort to crush the rising Christian church. A new edict is proclaimed that all Christ-followers are commanded to honor sacrifice to the Roman gods upon pain of death. All who defy Rome must perish in the fire. The Proconsul learns that among those facing death is Lady Helena, daughter of the deceased Caiaphas. The unflinching loyalty of Marcellus, an aged Christian leader in the face of death, wins Roman officials to the cause of Christ. Veteran British actor Torin Thatcher plays Festus. The Proconsul is portrayed by Frederick Cullus.
