Oklahoma City Police released bodycam video of a shooting that happened in Bricktown in August.

Officers responded to a disturbance near Sheridan and Oklahoma Avenue around 2 a.m. in Bricktown on Aug. 18.

Police said a man in the crowd pulled out a pistol and fired shots, hitting three people.

Several officers were near the intersection when shots rang out.

One of the officers, Sgt. Travis Hinton, discharged his weapon at the suspect.

The suspect was hit but managed to escape around a corner and flee the scene.

As the suspect fled around the corner, another person who was also armed with a gun ran from the same area and refused to drop the weapon.

A second officer fired at that person, believing it was the suspect.

The person dropped the gun and continued to run.

He was arrested a short time later for possession of a firearm after adjudication.

During the investigation, the shooting suspect was identified as Cedric Caldwell.

He was later located and arrested for three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

The three victims and Caldwell were treated at a nearby hospital for their injuries.

No officers were hurt, but the two who discharged their weapons were placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to the department.
