Canadian Lawyer Explains COVID Court Rulings feat. Eva Chipiuk | A Critical Compass Discussion
As the results of COVID-19 vaccine mandate arbitration rulings start to roll in, even with the wins come questions about how exactly arbitration works, how binding the decisions are, and what sort of precedence -- if any -- they set for future grievances.
Eva Chipiuk was gracious enough to join us on the show again to chat about a recent -- albeit short -- decision regarding terminated healthcare workers from the William Osler Health System and give good context to how it compares to some other more comprehensive rulings currently on the books.
In the second half of the episode, we touch on topics of censorship, how provinces can change how they advocate for their residents against an overreaching federal government, and where everyday Canadians should really be directing their frustrations to truly be effective and empowered citizens.
Eva Chipiuk is the founder of Empowered Canadians, an organization with the goal of fostering an informed and participatory democracy, united by a shared passion for civic engagement. https://empoweredcanadians.ca/about/
