HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING || Gen 6:9-17
* Gen 6:9-13 Noah was a just man, and like Enoch, walked with God. “Just” relates to Noah’s relationship with God; he was in a right relationship with God. He was also perfect, which conveys the idea of maturity or completeness. The phrase in his generations explains that Noah lived this way among his contemporaries, who were so wicked that God was going to destroy the world.

* Gen 6:14-16 Just like with Enoch there is salvation from the judgment for Noah, but in an other way than with Enoch. God not only makes Noah familiar with judgment, but also with salvation. He does not leave it to Noah to think of a way in which he can bring himself to safety. That is still the case today. God, as He does later with the tabernacle, gives a precise description of the ark to be built. The ark is a picture of the Lord Jesus. The wood of the ark speaks of His Manhood. The Man Christ Jesus is the “mediator … between God and men”.

* Gen 6:17 So far God has not said how He shall destroy the earth. Here He says that He shall do it by “the flood of water”. Now Noah understands why he has to build a big ship.

Father, may I always discern Your will for my life in all situations in Jesus' name!

14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
