In the Zaporozhye region, tankers of the combined arms army of the Dnepr group of forces celebrated their professional holiday at combat positions in the special military operation zone. Recently, tank crews have been working mainly from closed firing positions using target coordinates. The more accurately they work, the faster they roll back, and therefore, the safer it is for themselves.

This time, the crew's target was enemy positions in a forest belt. Thanks to the crew's coordinated actions and well-established interaction with reconnaissance units adjusting fire, the target was hit with minimal expenditure of ammunition. As the platoon commander said, once, while performing a combat mission at night, the vehicle ran into a mine – the enemy used remote mining on the tank. The explosion depressurized the fuel system, and the driver-mechanic began to be doused with kerosene.

Despite the fuel getting in his face, the driver-mechanic drove the vehicle to a safe area, thus saving the crew and preserving his tank… Each of the tank crew members was awarded a state award for courage and bravery demonstrated in carrying out the tasks of the Special Military Operation.
