Evendale to unveil memorial in honor of Lance Cpl. Christopher Dyer

The Village of Evendale is set to dedicate a section of Interstate 75 in honor of a local Marine who was died at age 19. Lance Cpl. Christopher J. Dyer was killed in action in Iraq in 2005. Mayor Richard Finan said the idea to memorialize Dyer came up a year ago during the dedication of the village's bell tower. State Sen. Lou Terhar turned his idea into law.
