OP2408-30-6
Intelligence staff for 1st Battalion, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade, detected a buildup of enemy troops near Lesnoy Khrebet in northern Chernarus. Normally, such a buildup is accompanied by support elements such as supplies or light artillery support, but this time none of those things were present. Local friendly agents were unable to report any data about the build-up, as they were not made aware of the build-up until the intelligence staff informed them.

A task force was formed and was dispatched to Lesnoy Khrebet, with orders to clear the area of separatist troops. The march to the area of operation took 30 minutes, and during that time, separatist heavy artillery came into play. The task force maneuvered around the impact zones of the artillery, with 2nd Squad and 3rd Squad maneuvering from the southeast, while Command Squad and 4th Squad approached from the southwest.

The assault on the enemy position went very quickly for friendly forces, as that position was overrun by our troops. Commander located the two civilian criminal command operatives who were in charge of the enemy's operation and deployment. On their persons commander seized a number of intelligence matter for transport back to base.

When 1st Battalion command Staff determined the operation a success, orders were issued to return to base. Command Squad held its position as the task force was withdrawn to the southeast and southwest. When Command Squad withdrew, it was attacked by a squad of Wagner Group operators, who attempted to cut off Command Squad's avenue of retreat.

Command Squad's counterfire effectively ended the enemy's bid to pin down the task force.

Casualties were light. Command Squad lost two. 2nd Squad lost one. 4th Squad lost three. Scout 2 BRDM was destroyed.

There were no enemy vehicle losses recorded.

Battalion intelligence staff determined, based on available data, that the troop build up by the separatists was primarily a training maneuver.
