Dashcam footage shows driver seconds away from fatal bridge collapse

Dashcam footage captured the moment an entire bridge collapsed over a Vietnam river on Monday, amid flooding and landslides caused by Typhoon Yagi. In the footage, the driver can be seen making his way along the road as normal, when the entire bridge structure disappears from view. The car manages to come to a stop before slowly reversing.

One survivor was riding his motorcycle over the bridge when it collapsed; he told reporters he managed to cling onto a tree to avoid being swept away by the water.

According to reports, at least 12 vehicles fell into the river when the bridge collapsed. Three people were pulled from the water, but 13 others are still missing.
