Lefkada Greek Fishing Village

Lefkada island is a well-known tourist destination both among Greeks and foreign tourists.

The fishing industry is one of the main sources of income for its population. In partnership with iSea, we are working towards preserving, protecting, and restoring the fragile marine ecosystem of Lefkada, commencing in early 2021. In addition, we will:

Conduct Beach and underwater clean-ups.
Organize local community events promoting the reduction of plastic usage.
Engage schools and educate staff and students.
Provide innovative approaches to reusing, upcycling, or recycling fishing gear.
Improve waste disposal facilities for fishing vessels.
