What The HELL IS Happening With Ubisoft?
What The HELL IS Happening With Ubisoft? Ubisoft has been struggling lately, and it seems the company has fallen into the same trap as many others in the industry—going woke. From the disappointing reception of *Star Wars Outlaws* to the backlash against *Assassin's Creed Shadows* over its woke historical inaccuracies, it’s clear that Ubisoft is losing its way. Woke Ubisoft decisions are driving long-time fans away, with woke characters and narratives being jammed into what used to be top-tier gaming experiences.
One glaring example of Ubisoft’s struggles is the rapid price drop of *Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora*. Less than two months after its launch on Steam, the game saw its price slashed by 50%. This steep decline is symptomatic of a broader issue: woke politics and a lack of innovation are pushing Ubisoft games into the bargain bin faster than ever before. The once highly anticipated *Skull and Bones*—hailed as a "quadruple-A" title—ended up on sale for just $10 at Best Buy, a far cry from its original $70 price tag. It's a stark reminder of how woke gaming has negatively impacted Ubisoft’s reputation.
As someone who has worked with Ubisoft in the past, it's disheartening to see the decline of a company that once produced some of my favorite games. Titles like *Splinter Cell*, *Rainbow Six Vegas*, and *Beyond Good and Evil* were once the gold standard, but Ubisoft woke decisions have led to a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives over quality game development. The company's obsession with meeting DEI quotas is evident, and it's dragging down the overall quality of their games.
Even beloved franchises like *Far Cry* haven’t been immune to the woke Ubisoft agenda. While *Far Cry 5* had its moments, *Far Cry 6* was an exercise in frustration, with incessant in-game chatter breaking immersion and pulling players out of the experience. It’s no wonder that fans are frustrated with Ubisoft woke games that prioritize political messages over gameplay.
Gamers don't want Ubisoft to fail, but we’re tired of woke Hollywood and woke media infiltrating our favorite games. Ubisoft needs to listen to its core audience and return to what made them great: creating fun, immersive experiences without being bogged down by woke politics. The rise of woke tiktok and the woke disney approach to entertainment has already done enough damage—let’s not see Ubisoft go down the same path.
The road to recovery for Ubisoft will be challenging, but it’s possible if they can focus on hiring developers who are passionate about games rather than woke politics. It’s time for post woke gaming to rise, and for Ubisoft to lead the charge by putting gameplay and player enjoyment first.
What are your thoughts? Can Ubisoft turn things around, or has the woke gaming trend already taken too strong a hold? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
