Paul Mauro: Over 90% of New York’s Midtown Crimes by ‘Migrant Gangs’

LLENAS: “Paul come into your reaction on the “New York Post” report there. There is obviously always depending on what side the political spectrum you are on whether or not this is overblown or not it is happening to some extent. What do you make of the post report 75% of these crimes are happening by these migrants that have been in the city for the last couple of years?”
MAURO: “Talking about midtown and what I’ve been hearing for a good long time now. Initially, the reporting I was getting was well over 90% of the pickpocket and property crimes that were occurring in midtown right along the tourist corridors were all migrant gangs and crews on scooters, going into stores or running pickpocket scams. To say 75% of the violent crimes including assaults, robberies of the things that are really detrimental to a community that is an escalation. I have to tell you from what I have seen just anecdotally from observation from walking around the city, I have no problem believing it.”
