September 7th, 2024 Shabbat-Shof'tim (proper restoration of the prophet)

In this first portion of Elul, there are many things Moses wants us to understand about righteous leadership. Then in Deut. 18, we get into a prophecy about a prophet coming like Moses. That would be Y'shua our Messiah (Jesus). There is also a discussion of the role of the prophet. With this knowledge, we can see how the prophet is to function within the body of Messiah.
