Northern Fleet conducts special training of naval aviation

06.09.24 - At the Severomorsk-1 airbase, special training of the naval aviation are held. Experts of the High Command and Russian Navy and Fleets supervise the drills.

The issues of navigational, engineering-aviation, airfield -technical, electrical-gas, and airfield engineering support for naval aviation are trained.

Moreover, servicemen practised and demonstrated operations of alerted units while securing and protecting airfields, as well as counteraction to sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed formations of a mock enemy employing small-size UAVs.

Over 20 aircraft from a mixed aviation corps participated in the training. They comprised shipborne helicopters, ASW aircraft, and other types of support and transport aviation. Source
