Brazil threatens Citizens with Fines if Caught using VPNs to Access X

Brazil's telecommunication regulator took down X on Aug. 30 after the platform failed to name a legal representative in Brazil and ignored a deadline to comply with court orders. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered that people accessing X using VPNs can be fined up to 50,000 reais ($8,943.74) per day.
