David Nabarro, a special envoy from the WHO, has said that vaccines won't be enough to end the pandemic, and that we'll need to adapt our lifestyles too. What a surprise.

Scaremongering has always been the great coercive tool of an authoritarian government. Fear provokes intolerant conformism. It also encourages a cancel culture against anyone who dares to step out of line.
