Today, on day 211 of my sobriety journey, I’m listening to Pink Floyd's timeless track, Comfortably Numb. Before diving into the music, I reflect on how I’ve been feeling a bit off today. Perhaps it’s because I’ve just surpassed my last attempt at sobriety, closing in on 7 months. The last time I reached this point, I relapsed, and I can't help but feel a little unsettled. I noticed a shift from how great I felt yesterday to feeling tired and unmotivated today. But I know it’s important to sit with these emotions without making any drastic decisions. It’s okay to feel down sometimes, and I’ve learned that accepting those feelings is crucial to my sobriety.

As for Comfortably Numb, this track holds a deep place in my heart. I was introduced to Pink Floyd when I was 22 by my sponsor in Narcotics Anonymous. The song’s haunting beauty, the sadness, and pain it evokes resonate with me deeply. Despite the tough emotions, it remains one of my favorites, and I’m grateful for how it has helped me process difficult times.

I hope my reflections help anyone who might also be feeling down or struggling on their journey. Remember, it’s okay to have low moments—it’s part of the process, and we will rise stronger.
