However this is not what is interesting.
In particular, for the first time, a programme was officially announced for the integration of containerised radar reconnaissance complexes УКР-РЛ "Сыч" based on PESA side-scan radars ‘"Пика-М", capable of detecting concentrations of enemy equipment in the forests of the Kursk region and the border area at a distance of up to 150 km in the synthetic aperture mode.
Conventional infrared reconnaissance UAVs are capable of detecting no more than 15-25% of enemy vehicles well camouflaged in forests.
