The U.S. national team cruised to an overwhelming 7-0 victory over Paraguay in Bogota, securing its place in the round of 16 at the U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia. With this result, the U.S. team moved into second place in Group C and will face Mexico next Wednesday in the next stage of the tournament.

Striker Pietra Tordin was the star of the match with a hat-trick, while the other goals were scored by Yuna McCormack, Gisele Thompson, Ally Sentnor and Maddie Dahlien.

Paraguay, meanwhile, were virtually out of the competition, needing an unlikely combination of results in Groups E and F to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.
