Great Recipe for delicious Vegetable Quiche
Flavor packed Vegetable Quiche, great for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Each slice topped with Sour Cream and a mixed Salad on the side.
Vegetable Quiche
Ingredients:
1 - 9" Pie Crust, bought
1 Onion
90 gr. Broccoli
3 Green Onions, chopped
1 Roma Tomato
1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
6 med (or 5 lg.) Eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Pinch Pepper
1/3 cup Milk
1/3 cup Half & Half
60 gr. Spinach, frozen/thawed
1-9" Pie Dish
Preheat Oven 450°F.
Form and crimp Pie Crust in Dish.
Prick Crust with Fork several times.
Prebake for 10-12 Minute, set aside and cool.
Slice & caramelize Onion, set aside.
Cut (small) and steam Broccoli.
Remove insides from Tomato and small dice.
Set Oven to 375° F.
Combine Eggs, Salt, Nutmeg, Pepper, Milk and Half & Half, whisk well.
Add Spinach, Tomato, Green Onions, Broccoli, caramelized Onion & Cheese, incorporate well.
Fill Crust with Mixture.
Bake until set, approx. 50 Minutes.
(Tip: cover with Foil if Crust starts to get darker)
Cool on Wire Rack.
Enjoy!
